What we believe

What we believe

These convictions are not a checklist — they are the faith we live by, hold gladly, and want to share with you.

One God — Father, Son and Holy Spirit

We worship the one true God, eternally Father, Son and Holy Spirit: the maker of all things, who loves us and calls us into relationship with himself.

Jesus Christ — Lord and Saviour

We confess that Jesus is the Son of God, fully God and fully human. He lived, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the third day. He is risen, he reigns, and he is coming again.

The Bible — our guide for faith and life

We believe the Bible is God's word, trustworthy and sufficient to guide us in what we believe and how we live. We read it together humbly, expecting to meet God in it.

Prayer, discipleship and community

We are learning, with God's help, to follow Jesus in everyday life: praying together, studying Scripture, encouraging one another, and bearing one another's burdens.

The call to witness and serve

Every believer is called to share the good news of Jesus in word and deed, and to love and serve our neighbours.

Believer's baptism

As a Baptist church, we practise believer's baptism — a personal, public response of faith in Jesus Christ. If you would like to explore baptism, please get in touch and we will gladly walk through it with you.
